About the journal

This is an independent journal about residential interior design, focused on New York City apartments and the weekend houses of the Hudson Valley, the Hamptons, and Connecticut. It looks at how good residential interiors come together: how a room is planned around the way people actually live in it, and how furniture from different periods can sit together without feeling assembled.

The articles cover material choices for demanding urban apartments, strategies for mixing antique, vintage, and contemporary pieces, and the particular brief of a country retreat that has to serve its owners as generously as their city home.
